This data processing course, taught at in the Tatuapé Unit, has the aim of extending digital inclusion to employees children and destitute youngsters. The course´s basic content comprises introduction to PC data processing, Windows, Word and Internet. The project also aims at stimulating voluntary actions among collaborators.
Projeto Meninos dos Olhos [Special Children]
In order to promote entertainment for destitute children, and at the same time encourage voluntary work, children from daycares and orphanages are taken out for lunch and to a visit to the Numismatic Museum at the Instituto Itaú Cultural.
Voluntary Work
Annually, Itautec promotes the 'I am a Volunteer' Program, in order to mobilize employees and highlight the importance of social contribution and the practice of citizenship, stressing the positive impact that voluntary work has on the community.
Espaço do Bem [Charity Site]
At the Tatuapé unit, there is a special site allotted for Associations, Foundations and Charities, so that they may publicize their work, and collect funds for their activities by selling their products. These are some of the participating entities: Associação Mundaréu, Casa Assistencial Maria Helena Paulínia, Adere, Centro Social Nossa Senhora do Bom Parto, Casas André Luiz, AACC, Abraçar, Oficina Escola, IBCC and Hospital Pequeno Príncipe.
Jantar do Bem [Charity Promotion Dinners]
The Company organizes dinners that promote employee integration, the propagation of voluntary community work, the importance of social participation as well as the exercise of citizenship, cooperating with charities by collecting donations (food, clothes, personal care products, etc.)
Happy McDay
Itautec sponsors a McDonald shop and encourages its employees to enroll for voluntary work in the campaign that benefits institutions who help children and teens with cancer.
Visit Program
Itautec promotes visit programs to the community, especially focused on the schools in the region in which Itautecs production units are located. The purpose is to allow students to become acquainted, by practicing, with the Company´s productive process.
Donations
Itautec´s collaborators actively take part in the initiatives and projects promoted by the Company. Apart from their professional work, employees have the opportunity to donate their own time, and contribute to charities. Each year, there are campaigns to donate blood, clothes, food, newspapers, medicine, toys and books for children, floppy disks, cartridges, and toners for printing machines.
